I also added LED lights, so that the front has damnable headlights in lower fixture and a functioning Mars Light upper. 867 did demonstrate a little gear noise that I don't recall hearing before, but these locomotives have sat on the shelf for year or two with minimal running time. Nothing that a piece of piano wire and black paint won't fix. Both lights are directional.

These units were tested and run well.
