My test track does not allow higher speeds and I do have a battery to mount inside the tender requires shell removal. No other apparent flaws.

The instructions state that this is normal at low speeds if battery option not used. I did not test the smoke unit no liquid. Please be specific about what you want to see.

The tender made sounds as loco moved on track however, were a little erratic. It shows virtually no dust.

I do not have a layout, so tested the loco on 10' test track. The engine shows a screw crack near left front of boiler see picture plus pencil point size scratch. I noticed the front left tender step is broken off.
