From what I've read, this combination of features indicates that locomotive/tender set was made between 1949 and 1951. The locomotive/tender set does not have a box. And the set would have also had some track and a few other accessories not included. Correct Manila Coupe Car.

Available for purchase is an American Flyer 4730-A train set with a 342 AC Nickel Plate switcher locomotive, tender, and 6 cars scale. I will insure this item at my own expense. The boxes are mostly intact but show significant wear with some flap damage and loss. The side of the tender is marked AMERICAN FLYER and Nickel Plate name has a box around it.

Label on Box. Tape on Underside of Tender. The front of the switchers boiler plate will not stay closed for some reason. Overall, this set looks great and would make a fine addition to any layout or collection.
