Box is lightly shelf-worn, and it remains in excellent/solid condition see photos 1 13-18. Price offered. As can be seen in last 2 photos, the blackened metal wheels are extremely clean and indicate only very light use. Directional headlight illuminates it shines brightly constantly and the number boards on sides of housing illuminate as well.
Take a look at the photos and see what you think. Road # 714, Stock 31231. The loco was track-tested by me only using standard analog DC. The foam padding, clear plastic insert and sleeve are also all in excellent shape.
Made in China. Package to ship. Pardon any camera flash reflection. ALL factory-installed detail body parts appear to be present as loco looks have been very gently run for just a little while. Being strictly a DC operator myself, I could not test using DCC and therefore I'm selling this model As Is, of course.
So be sure to thoroughly review all the photos as they are considered part of. So I recommend that a DCC user purchase it. I will discount shipping for multiple items won from me on same day. Loco might could use a good lube oil, because it has sat idle in the box for quite while.
Model has factory-installed knuckle-type couplets. Dual-mode decoder is factory-installed for DCC operation with SOUND. As you can see, both the loco tender bodies look beautiful and are in like new shape. It also operates with sound right out of the box using standard analog DC, but I'm sure DCC users will get most benefits by far.
The 2-8-8-2 booklet is dated 2004. The engine cuffing sounds worked great. The directional back-up light on tender roof also illuminates nicely. Perhaps it has only been test-run a few times. As mentioned, loco will operate using either DCC or DC.
