The B Unit was a later model that has plug-in chord. Die-Cast Truck Sides, Pilots and Fuel Tank. This a really nice conventional Union Pacific EMD E-8 diesel set with perfect paint job and cab details. This set of diesels along with the later E-9 were last streamline passenger service engines prior to Amtrak take over in early 70s.

I just tuck it in the door well of engine when running set. I purchased the conventional E-8 AA Diesel set several years ago and added B Unit a few months later to make complete diesel ABA engine. The Set Features: Intricately Detailed, Durable ABS Bodies. The internal circuit board on the engine has very simple controls for direction and horn no bell.

Metal Wheels, Axles and Gears. The B Unit is in its original box and AA Units are their Styrofoam protective shell but not. Authentic Paint Scheme. Earlier E-unit locomotives were nicknamed slant nose units.

Metal Chassis. Metal Handrails and Horn. I printed the information sheet and included it with AA set. There is also no battery as the later MTH model's have, so worries about needing to change it.

The non-powered engines should also have their axles and rollers oiled occasionally as well.
