This engine comes with the tender, specific remote and original set instruction book. The sounds do not require any transformer controls to activate as these are activated using the remote. Note: both LVC and VSR require use of the LionChief / Cab 3 phone/pad App to utilize these features; they are not accessible when using included remote. This engine also features the latest Bluetooth 5.0 with Voice Streaming Recording VSR.

This beautiful, great running, die-cast steam engine with tender features an 0-8-0 wheel configuration, maintenance free can motor, puffing smoke unit, engineer fireman figures, LionChief remote control, bright LED headlamp and sounds to include whistle, Jingle bell, Winter Wonderland specific announcements, e ngine cuffing play a variety o f Christmas songs. Thanks, Mike. Note: Runs on 027 track just fine but given the LionChief drabber connection between engine tender O-31 or larger curves are recommended. The remote is also used for engine speed and direction.

That said, this engine does require a remote to run, there is no conventional transformer option. I briefly test ran this bright strong engine on my layout and the motor, headlamp, remote functions, smoke unit sounds all worked great.
