The doodlebug has a sprung knuckle couplet on its rear end and dummy the front. In my humble opinion, this set of MKT doodlebug, trailer coach and the gorgeous box are quite impressive!!, Take a good look. Sprung knuckle couplets are installed on both ends of the coach. This Spectrum duo came from the factory un decorated in Olive Green paint.

I have since replaced the Bachmann decoder with a better Cicatrix DCC. Constructed with a combination of durable plastic and steel, the set features two-rail system came equipped Bachmann digital command control DCC .for an immersive model railroad experience. You can add passengers to give the set more life. These doodlebugs were used as an economical alternative to running a steam or later, diesel-powered train set on branch lines lightly travelled main.

The Bachmann coach has been nicely lettered for the MKT. Model ed after the iconic Katy lines historical gas-electric doodlebugs, this set was carefully lettered in elegant gold lettering. Both the MKT doodlebug and coach have lighted interiors. I did include a properly dressed with paint engineer at the throttle in his tiny operating compartment front.

The front 4-wheel truck is powered while the rear a dummy. When needed a trailer coach could be added to handle more traffic or on special occasions. But the doodlebug gets its electricity from all 8 wheels.which ensures smooth operation thru switches and on rough track. What you see is what get.

The EMC gas electric locos original Bachmann paperwork is also included. A nice touch are the 4-wheel trucks under coach.
